The second to the last commercial break of the final episode of the first season of the TV show, "Open Season", opens with the same shot of a man bowing to the woman he has been courting. It's a theme the show will play out again and again -- the Australian-set, family-movie-of-the-week will spend the rest of its run making the same argument about the relative importance of emotions versus prejudice as the endcard of this first episode.

If you missed my review of the brand new DVD of "Open Season 2", a CatDog movie, here's the rundown. I had been thinking I'd be reviewing the new season with you before its release. But, when it was published online this week, and when it's packaged as a DVD release this month, I just found it too easy an opportunity to go back again and review the movie. Because this one is giving you so much new stuff from the show I decided to put it in my general category where I'll cover it - just like I did a few weeks ago with the DVD set of the original movie. So, here you have it for next week, the packaged DVD edition of this talking-animal movie. But this time, you'll get to learn a bit more about the "real" CatDog. In fact, an arresting amount more.
