To deliver the sharpest look from its recorded content FilmStrip FX (built in) adds a new matte effect to CinemaDNG and in-camera time grading to XAVC-S, files recorded with an iPad are now automatically synced (onboard) to the cloud and exported in DaVinci Resolve Studio using an improved workflow.

It is designed for productions that use multiple media in the field, particularly the iPad, or if you don't want to spend much money on a recorder and want Resolve to do most of the work for you.

It loads straight into the iPad editing screen like a native app but also goes back to the iPad screen when a Kona's touch input returns. This is a more direct and intuitive way to treat the iPad as a device that is designed for editing video than browsing files on a computer.

Considering the way Blackmagic Design have handled these beta editions we are expecting to see a lot of these functions come to market in a few months time, rather than the full feature set which will be found on DaVinci Resolve Studio.
